At the end of the Epicenter music festival, in May, I had major withdrawals from live music and/or the music festival experience. So, I found Blue Ridge Rock Festival, lovingly nicknamed BRRF.

BRRF was slated to be in Concord, VA, at DeVault Vineyard. Never heard of Concord? Me either. Its near Lynchburg.

As we got up to a week before the festival, a hurricane drew near the Atlantic Coast, potentially throwing tropical storm/depression weather into the hear of VA. The venue was forced to move up to Arrington, VA, at Infinity Downs, also the Host to Lockn Music Festival.

Fastforward to Friday, September 6th The car was loaded finished Work at the spa and drove to BRRF to setup camp.

My timing was perfectly off…I got to camp directly next to the Porto-john row. That means you get to fall asleep to and wake up to drunk/hungover campers coming in and out of blue-goo city. This is another reason I like car camping. There is a little bit of sound barrier if the windows are just vented, rather than wide-open.

Saturday morning I woke up to some Gentlemen drunkenly yelling and laughing at about 645 AM. So, I got up and took in the view of the Blue Ridge Montains with a foggy sunrise.

After preparing for a day of music, I went straight to the front rail, where there were surprisingly few people. I kept this spot through the day, meeting some great folks and enjoying the first day of music.

After an exausting, exciting, and entertaining day-night, I headed back to camp for a quick bite to eat, more water, and a quick tent shower before bed (Mandatory shower)!

Sunday morning, I slept in till after 7! It was a much needed miracle.

So, The Offspring Wrapped up the 2019 BRRF. I headed back to my camp, packed up and drove back to Hillsborough after the show.

Like with any show, you have the potential to meet a lot of really interesting and different people from all walks of life.

Some of the show highlights for the weekend- 10 Years, Stone Temple Pilots, Godsmack, Black Plague, The Offspring, New Years Day, and the one song I got to see from Noself.
